Woman accused of selling stolen guns in BCS – KBTX

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- In April, Travis Williams woke up to find his truck window completely shattered in College Station at The Barracks Townhomes.

“I woke up and was like, I guess I am not going to work. Instead I went through my truck, and noticed only my gun was missing and I had a laptop, a tablet in there. Those were still there. It was literally just the gun,” said Williams.

After reporting it to College Station police, Williams learned he wasn’t the only one with a stolen firearm. According to police reports, another resident who lived in The Barracks also had his gun stolen from his truck.

“The cops that I did talk to, they were saying that it’s been happening more frequently, so that they’ve been increasing patrols in here, but driving around you know you can only do so much when people can hide in and out of cars and stuff like that,” said Williams.

A week after filing the report a DPS Trooper on Briarcrest Drive in Bryan conducted a traffic stop.

During the stop the two occupants, 21-year-old Azaria Boxley and 25-year-old Quandrisha Irvin, were arrested after the Trooper found drugs and a Smith & Wesson .32 caliber revolver.

Both were arrested for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

“This specific case covers several different agencies. We had a couple of firearms that were stolen in College Station and then DPS made a traffic stop and got us involved and through various investigative techniques we were able to locate and recover those stolen firearms,” said Kelley McKethan with the Bryan Police Department.
