Village Casino attempting to break chicken wing record – WGRZ.com

BEMUS POINT, N.Y. – The Village Casino has broken their own world record for most chicken wings served in a 24-hour time period.

The Village Casino set the Guinness World Record for most wings served in a 24-hour period back in 1982 when they served 30,000 wings, and they were selected this year to break their record.

The event started Saturday August 11th at 8 p.m., wrapped up around 2 a.m. Sunday, before picking things back up at 9 a.m.

Event organizer Steve Carlson told 2 On Your Side that as of 5:30 p.m. Sunday, they just went over the original record of 30,000 wings. The event goes until 8 p.m.

We will update you when we receive word if the record will be broken.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bemus Point Ferry, Bemus Point Library, Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department and the Western New York Chapter of the Red Cross.
