Selbst: Poker Hall Of Fame Nominee 'Disgusting' For Comments On 'Rounders' Producer Weinstein – CardPlayer.com

Safe to say that if there’s ever a Rounders sequel Harvey Weinstein won’t be involved.

The movie mogul has been accused of various degrees of sexual misconduct, including assault, by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, a stunning and far-reaching scandal that made the L.A Times ask Thursday: “Has anyone fallen faster than Harvey Weinstein?”

Four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Mike Matusow (pictured), a 2017 Poker Hall of Fame nominee, weighed in on Twitter, with three-time bracelet winner Vanessa Selbst, who has appeared on mainstream TV programs like The Steve Harvey Show, blasting him for his comments.

Both Selbst, 33, and Matusow, 49, are among the game’s most visible professional players, often appearing to nationwide audiences on poker broadcasts.

Both Selbst and Matusow have reputations for expressing their respective political beliefs on social media. Late last year before the U.S. presidential election, Selbst got into a Twitter feud with Doyle Brunson, who also isn’t shy to share his political beliefs on the platform.

Weinstein, who was the executive producer for the 1998 cult classic Rounders, said in 2013 that the follow-up was in the works. It never came to fruition, and the odds look as slim as ever.

“I’ve discussed making Rounders 2 with Matt Damon and I would say that’s going to be instantaneous,” Weinstein said, according to Deadline.com. “The guys [writers David Levien and Brian Koppelman] have a great idea, a way to make it more international where you start the card game in Paris, that’s all I want to say.
