See Dwyane Wade surprise more than 300 Jr. NBA players – USA TODAY

Dwyane Wade showed up in Orlando to surprise hundreds of kids on Friday night.

They were all Jr. NBA World Championship players. There were 317 boys and girls from 32 of the top 14U teams from around the world (16 from the U.S.) that have been competing against each other for a shot to play in the championship game at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Sunday.

As you can see in the video below, they were excited to see Wade. Some kids called it a dream come true while others were left speechless, and one young player said it’s a moment they’ll never forget. Per the news release, Wade is the Jr. NBA ambassador this year, but the kids weren’t told that he’d actually be there to talk to them.

Wade also participated in a Q&A in which he shared advice with the kids, such as why he always likes to remember that he’s playing for something bigger than himself and how he uses lessons he learned in basketball as he goes through everyday life.

Wade posed for photos, including for shots with each team. This will be an awesome story these kids can tell when they go back home.
