Report: Lexington man found with meth, guns – Lexington Dispatch

Davidson County deputies discovered narcotics and firearms during a traffic stop on Saturday, which led to the arrest of a Lexington man.

Christopher Joseph Barton, 25, of 1303 White St., was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

According to his arrest report, deputies were conducting a traffic stop when they discovered that Barton possessed an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine and marijuana as well as paraphernalia to store and package the controlled substances. Barton also had a loaded .357 Magnum handgun and a 12 gauge shotgun in his vehicle during the traffic stop.

Barton is being held in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 21.
