Pro-Russian rebels hold 'combat training' tank firing contest with live ammunition in eastern Ukraine –

Pro-Russian separatists have displayed their military capabilities with a tank firing contest in eastern Ukraine that has been described as “good combat training”.

Reuters reported that the tank biathlon competition involved six military crews from the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics driving over obstacles and firing at targets using live ammunition.

The contest was held near the town of Torez, which is about 70km (43 miles) away from the anti-Kiev rebel stronghold of Donetsk, on September 15 and September 16.
