Police: Alcohol possible factor in Cass Co. crash – WNDU – WNDU-TV

WAYNE TWP., Mich. (WNDU)- Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an overnight crash in Cass Co., according to police.

Two people went to the hospital after the Saturday night accident around 10:00 p.m. on Dutch Settlement St. near Nubour Rd. in Wayne Township.

Police said Adam Molter, 38, was heading westbound on Dutch Settlement St. when his vehicle left the road and rolled on its side down an embankment. He was transported to an area hospital where he then went by Med Flight to a South Bend Hospital for treatment.

The passenger of the vehicle, Johnathan Hemenway, 43, was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

Police said both the driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts. The case remains under investigation.

Pokagon Tribal Police, Wayne Township Fire Department, Dowagiac Fire Department, Pride Care Ambulance and Med Flight all assisted in the accident.
