Maryland Poker Revenue Up 28 Percent On Year With One Month … –

Maryland’s four casino poker rooms generated a combined $3.59 million in revenue last month, according to figures released this week by state officials. The rooms raked $40.6 million through November.

Maryland’s poker market was $2.67 million in November 2016, which brought revenue from the first 11 months of that year to $31.5 million.

Revenue increased 34.4 percent year-over-year last month, while the year-to-date revenue was up 28.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

The 39-table poker room at MGM National Harbor opened in December 2016, and it instantly grew the state’s market. It’s the largest room in the state based on revenue. Maryland Live!, equipped with 52 tables, is the largest in terms of size.

Maryland has 122 poker tables in total. The state has had poker since allowing live dealer table games in 2013. Two of its six casinos don’t offer poker.
