Elgin businessman bringing weekend beer fest to Hoffman Estates – Chicago Tribune

An Elgin businessman is one of the forces behind a brew and grub gathering happening Saturday, Dec. 9, inside Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.

There’s also going to be a “Beeringham Fountain” through which expired beer will flow.

To try to long lines, Marchese said some of the food trucks will be stationed on the main floor where the beer pourings will be served, while other trucks will be located around the concourse. Concession stands will be open, too, with the usual assortment of food and beverages Sears Centre sells.

Marchese said attendance has been capped at 3,000 people.
