Casino seeking to fill 1400 positions – The River Reporter

MONTICELLO, NY — Resorts World Catskills, which is scheduled to open on March 1, 2018, has scheduled two job fairs to fill 1,400 positions ranging from housekeeping to slot operations.

The first will be held in Rock Hill on December 14 at the Ramada at the Sullivan Event Center, 283 Rock Hill Dr., from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The second will take place on December 16 at the Emergency Services Center, 22 Wells Farm Rd. in Goshen, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Applicants will be able to meet with leadership from the casino, and are advised to go to and apply online for a specific position before going to the job fair. Available positions are listed on the site.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring résumés and valid government-issued identification to the job fair and be prepared for screening interviews. Conditional offers of employment may be made to qualified candidates.

Charles A. Degliomini, executive vice president of Resorts World Catskills, said, “The dream of a resort casino in the Catskills is finally coming to fruition, and nothing makes it more real than 1,400 new jobs coming to the Hudson Valley. These are good paying positions with benefits. Anyone exhibiting talent and dedication can make a great career for themselves in this exciting industry.”

The available jobs include housekeeping attendants, sous chef, bartenders, IT technicians, EMTs, security officers, cashiers, cooks and servers, among others.

The Resorts World Catskills facility will include an 18-story casino, hotel and entertainment complex with approximately 100,000 square feet of casino floor, over 100 table games, 2,150 state-of-the-art slot machines, a poker room and private gaming salons.
