Ammunition goes off as crews investigate Swannanoa house fire – WLOS

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — 

Firefighters had to deal with live ammunition while investigating a fire in Swannanoa.

Crews were called to the fire along Franklin Road just after 5 p.m. Friday.

When firefighters arrived, heavy flames and smoke were coming from the eve of the home.

When they got it knocked down and went inside to investigate, they say live ammunition started going off, and they had to get out.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire has not yet be released.
