World of Beer set to bring taverns with 500 beers, 50 taps to Bay Area

The rate at which beer news in the Bay Area seems to be break these days is less a slow drip and more a heavy-handed pour. If it’s not a hyper-local craft-beer crew methodically expanding its footprint, then its an industry behemoth prying its way into the local market.

The latest intel is that Tampa, Fla.-based World of Beer, an international chain of taverns with 65 locations across 20 states, has its sights set on San Francisco.

First, the company will open a location in Dublin’s Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center (4890 Dublin Blvd.) this summer.
