NBA games today, highlights, updates, scores: Lakers make John Wall eat his words –

Wednesday night was another interesting night in the NBA. Things got off to a flying start with Eric Gordon’s buzzer-beating 3 stunning the Sixers, and the Nets followed that up with a huge upset victory over the visiting Cavs. Meanwhile, the Mavericks got their first win of the season by beating the previously undefeated Grizzlies. 

In late night action, the Warriors got a win over the Raptors thanks to a clutch shot from Steph, while the Lakers made John Wall eat his words by beating the Wizards in overtime.

Lakers show John Wall no mercy, beat Wizards in OT

John Wall declared ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with the Lakers that he would show Lonzo Ball “no mercy” because of LaVar’s comments. Unfortunately for him, it was the Lakers who came out victorious, winning 102-99 in overtime. Wall, for his part, did not have a good game, shooting 7 for 22 and turning the ball over four times.

Gordon beats the buzzer, and the Sixers

The Rockets trailed most of the night and looked to be heading toward defeat Wednesday night in Philly. Eric Gordon, however, made sure that didn’t happen. Taking a pass from James Harden, Gordon fired in a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the corner to win it for the Rockets.  

Curry’s clutch 3 defeats Raptors

The Raptors had a lead late in the fourth quarter, but Steph Curry came up clutch to get the Warriors a win.
