MLB trade rumors: Astros take prospects out of games, many jump to Jacob deGrom conclusion – Sporting News

A Saturday night rumor had Astros fans going absolutely nuts it might not be without basis.

Those who paid attention to the Futures Game in any way shape or form probably know the name Kyle Tucker. He is the brother of former Astros’ regular Preston Tucker, the former No. 5 overall pick, and a man that all rumors over the last few weeks have said is untouchable in trade talks.

When the Corpus Christi Hooks removed Tucker from the lineup Saturday night after he went 2 for 2 with a run scored and did not suffer any noticeable injury, it gave people pause. Then when Yordan Alvarez, one of the Astros other Futures Game participants and a player who ESPN’s Keith Law has as his No. 46 overall prospect, was scratched from the lineup before his game started, many instantly assumed a trade.

Are the Astros getting Jacob deGrom from the Mets? Or are they getting someone else, like Giants pitcher Jeff Samardzija?
