Cold temperatures and inclement weather throughout the Midwest canceled a number of contests on Jackie Robinson Day. Six of the day’s 16 matchups — including a doubleheader in Detroit — were postponed.

Yankees @ Tigers
An ice storm postponed both games on Sunday at Comerica Park. They will be made up as a day-night doubleheader on Monday, June 4 at 1:10 and 7:10 p.m. ET. Saturday’s matchup was also rained out, making these the fifth and sixth postponements for Detroit in 2018.

Both teams were scheduled for an off-day on June 4. Instead, the Yankees will stop through Detroit between series in Baltimore and Toronto. More >

Blue Jays @ Indians
The Indians and Blue Jays were postponed due to inclement weather for a second straight day. Both Saturday and Sunday’s games will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader on May 3, beginning at 1:10 p.m. ET. The Indians next play on Tuesday as the visiting team in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while the Blue Jays return home to face the Royals on Monday. More >
