Registration is officially closed in the 2017 Card Player Poker Tour Seneca Fall Poker Classic $1,000 no-limit hold’em main event. With a total turnout of 271 entries, the $200,000 guarantee was easily surpassed and the final prize pool swelled to $239,212. The top 27 players will make the money in this event, with a min-cash of $1,818 and a first-place prize of $58,608. The eventual champion of this event will not only win the top prize and the trophy, they will also grace the cover of an upcoming issue of Card Player magazine!

Day 1A of the event drew 95 entries, with 19 players surviving to day 2. Day 1B saw 176 total entries, with 38 players making it through to the next stage.

The overall chip leader heading into day 2 is Paul McLean with 468,000. Close behind is day 1A chip leader Leo Kaplin with 358,500. The only other players aboe the 300,000 mark are Illan Kandiah (336,500) and Joe Catalano (301,200).

The remaining 57 players will combine into one field on day 2, which resumes with the start of level 16 at 11:00 a.m. local time.

The Seneca Gaming and Entertainment poker room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the first floor of the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel.
