'NBA 2K18' Will Feature All-Time Teams And 16 New Classic Squads – Forbes

NBA 2K respects the history of the sport it simulates more than any other game in the genre. That homage to classic players and teams will continue with
NBA 2K18. Per
NBA 2K‘s official Twitter account,
NBA 2K18 will feature all-time teams for all 30 organizations and 16 additional classic teams. There were already 47 classic teams ranging from the 1964-65 Boston Celtics to the 2016 Team USA squad.

The 16 new classic teams will run the total to a whopping 63. That’s impressive on its own, but the real crown jewel in this new announcement is the 30 all-time teams. For the past three years, I’ve manually created a similar roster with a bevy of created players and legends that were loaded into the game.

This year, I won’t have to put in the work–at least not as much. A lack of licensing rights is bound to create a few gaps. Players like the Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas, Phoenix Suns’ Charles Barkley, Indiana Pacers’ Reggie Miller and others may be omitted for a variety of reasons.
